Morrissey’s influence and musical legacy are undeniable. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in British pop, as well as one of the greatest lyricists of his generation. As the singer and founding member of The Smiths, Morrissey left an indelible mark in music history with just four albums. As a solo artist, he has continued to evolve a sound that still resonates today, establishing himself as one of the most acclaimed voices of the past four decades. When The Smiths’ debut single ‘Hand in Glove’ was released, it forever changed the musical landscape and gave rise to a rich catalogue of anthems such as ‘This Charming Man’, ‘How Soon Is Now?’ and ‘There Is a Light That Never Goes Out’.

As Morrissey embarked on his solo career, the string of iconic and influential songs continued with ‘Suedehead’, ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday’, ‘Irish Blood, English Heart’, ‘First of the Gang to Die’, and many more. His latest album, ‘Make-up Is a Lie’, released on March 6 this year, is his fifth consecutive full-length record recorded in France.

Speaking about the new album, Morrissey says; “Music should be the ultimate democracy, without restrictions, and the best of it cannot be easily categorized. I love my place within music and always strive to express things in a different way”.
