Formed in Hannover in 1965, Scorpions have since become one of the world’s most influential and successful hard rock bands. With their signature blend of powerful hard rock, melodic guitar riffs and soaring rock ballads, the band has captivated audiences across the globe. Over the years, they have sold more than 120 million albums and inspired generations of musicians, including bands such as Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn and System of a Down.

Their international breakthrough came in the late 1970s with the album Lovedrive (1979), followed by a string of successful releases including Blackout (1982), Love at First Sting (1984) and Savage Amusement (1988). With hits such as No One Like You, Rock You Like a Hurricane and Still Loving You, Scorpions cemented their status as one of the biggest rock bands of the 1980s.
